Untitled (hot pink)

200 SEK

Accompanying the exhibition Distinguished from the melee of user comments and structurally misogynist chat rooms harbouring rapid-fire trolls, Woodpecker Projects published Untitled (hot pink), 2013; an artist book by Saskia Te Nicklin.

The publication is paraphrasing the book Chromophobia by David Batchelor. The central argument of Chromophobia is that a chromophobic impulse – a fear of corruption or contamination through color – lurks within much Western cultural and intellectual thought. Chromophobia was published by Reaktion Books – Focus on Contemporary Issues. Saskia Te Nicklin has isolated and reprinted, using the exact same layout, all the words for colours in Batchelor’s book.
